tough love

I gave Katie some popcorn as a snack when she got up from her nap and as is typical of Katie, she couldn't just eat it like a good little girl. She ate a few pieces and then started crumbling it all over the floor. Well the rule in our house has always been if you make a mess, you clean it up. Obviously she is too little to push a vacuum cleaner but she isn't too young to use the hose that goes with the crevice tool. She has always been afraid of the vacuum cleaner. So this was tough love. But she didn't cry. She vacuumed up every crumb.
