Good day for Brittanie

Brittanie is VERY much like her daddy. She doesn't smile easily. In fact, I would have to say that she is worse than Tom when it comes to being stingy with her smile. Well yesterday, I went to pick her up from school and she had a smile from ear to ear and was about to pop because she was so excited. She said it was the best day she had had so far this school year. She has been really bummed about John not being in school so it was nice to see her happy. From what I could gather, she likes 3 guys and John is the one she likes most, then William, then Joey. Well yesterday, William sat next to her at the pep rally. Then after school they were both outside waiting for their rides home and he started flirting and she started flirting back and they ended up holding hands. He told her he was going to try to be at the football game that night to meet up with her. Well she volunteered for JROTC parking detail for the football game so she had to be there an hour early. (By the way, all three of these guys are in JROTC.) Well William showed up at 6 to work parking detail with Brittanie. She commented how shocked she was that he was early and he told her that he heard through the grapevine that she was working parking detail and he wanted to be there with her. Awwwwwwwww!!!!

When they got done with parking, she went into the football game. By then it was 7:45 and she met up with John, who had been looking for her for 45 minutes. She ran up and gave him a hug because she hadn't seen him in a week. She told him she HAD to get something to drink. So they walked up to get her something to drink and Brittanie asked him about going to Carowinds with her (this morning) and he said yes. His parents had said it was ok and he was looking forward to it. I don't know where William was during all of this but next thing in the story was John went somewhere and she hung out with William during the rest of the football game. Remember the jerk who asked her if she was on birth control? Well he came up to Brittanie and William and showed Brittanie a picture of a girl that he was going out with now. Brittanie told him she is very pretty. Not the reaction the jerk was hoping for so he said it again that he was going out with her. Brittanie said again that she is very pretty. That's when William reached over and gave her a quick peck on the mouth. The jerk promptly left. HEHEHEHE William said that the jerk was huge so he wasn't going to get in his face or anything but he figured since he didn't get it when he saw that they were holding hands, maybe a quick kiss would drive the point home. And it worked.

Both William and John are Christian boys and she likes them both. She said the first one to ask her out is the one she will go out with. But she got in the car last night a very happy girl. I called John's dad last night during the football game to ask if John was going to Carowinds and he said in a very happy tone "Ohhh, you're Brittanie's mom!" Hmmmm somebody has been talking to his parents about Brittanie. That's always a good sign. I just want Brittanie to have a good Christian boyfriend that she can have fun with and not have to worry that they are going to pressure her to have sex or do other bad things.

Anyway, she got up this morning and you would have thought she was ready for dinner and a movie instead of a trip to Carowinds. She looked totally different than she does when she goes with her daddy. LOL

Anyway, that's the latest in teenage stuff. By the way, I'm proud of Brittanie. She told me that even if William had tried to kiss her at school, she wouldn't have because you can hold hands and have your arms around each other but no other public displays of affection are allowed. I didn't know that because when I pull up everybody is kissing their significant other. She said "Just because everybody does it, doesn't make it right." That's my girl!!!!
