Buyer beware!

A month and a half ago, our microwave that we had for 12 years died and we went to Wal-Mart and bought an Emerson 1.1 cubic foot 1100 watt microwave. Well this morning, it died. We were quite unhappy because we paid over $80 for that thing (with taxes) and it didn't even last two months. Katie saw that I was NOT happy and you know drama queens....they make a mountain out of a mole hill. She said "Oh we're never gonna eat again!" I told her of course we are going to eat again. We will just heat stuff another way until we get a new microwave. I also told her to PLEASE not tell anybody that we will never eat again because we don't have a microwave. That makes it sound like all I feed her is microwave junk! lol But the moral of this story....stay away from this microwave!! Unfortunately, we had thrown away the box and receipt so we couldn't even return it. Tom ran to Fred's this afternoon and bought a Sharp microwave that is 1.4 cubic foot and 1100 watts and it was $10 cheaper than the Emerson. Now we just pray this one lasts longer than the Emerson. But this time, we kept the box and receipt!

By the way, Katie isn't just a drama queen, she is a smart mouth too. Today, that smart mouth got her in trouble. She was screaming for no apparent reason and Tom told her to stop screaming and she said "Read my lips, poo poo head." Needless to say, that didn't go over well. lol Where does she come up with that stuff???

She's back at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a few days because the election run off is Tuesday. Oh! By the way, that reminds me....Brittanie drove down to Hampton County with Joe Wilson's gang to pass out stickers at the Watermelon Festival parade. Unfortunately, that place was loaded with democrats so it wasn't the friendliest place to pass out stickers but she had a good time.....as good of a time as you can have walking 3.5 miles in 100 degree heat and then turning around and going back to your car that same 3.5 miles. But I'm proud of her for getting involved in the political process. I want her to realize the importance of electing good people and Joe Wilson is one of the best!! Anyway, everybody in South Carolina, don't forget to vote Tuesday in the runoff!!
